World class Kachemak Bay Oysters!
Mariculture is a relatively new industry in Kachemak Bay beginning in the early 1990’s. This industry depends on the pristine clean waters of Kachemak Bay to grow some of the finest oysters in the world. It takes approximately three years for the seed ‘spat’ to grow out to market size oysters. These oysters grow in clean, cold glacier pure waters and taste like the waters they grow in.
